Automotive Customer Service Advisor

Location: Arlington Truck Center – Arlington, TX

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for driving business growth by improving the operational efficiency and consistency of the customer vehicle repair process while ensuring adherence to MEI Group’s diagnostic and repair protocols. The role operates in a fast-paced, call center-style environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service

  • Drive technician labor sales to meet departmental sales forecasts

  • Prioritize required services and present customer options when applicable

  • Keep customers informed on completion times, service expenses, and changes

  • Monitor and manage the mechanical warranty approval process

  • Dispatch vehicles for repair based on priority and warranty status

  • Collaborate with other departments regarding vehicle quality and escalated issues

  • Verify vehicle warranty coverage through proper documentation

  • Update and maintain the service workbook

  • Clearly communicate service estimates and vehicle return times to customers

  • Arrange for towing and temporary transportation when necessary

  • Identify repair trends using reports and analytics

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (REQUIRED)

  • Previous service advisor experience a plus

  • Automotive knowledge or training is preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills

  • Stable work history with customer service experience

  • Strong work ethic, upbeat attitude, and team-player mentality

  • Ability to learn quickly and apply training in real-time

  • Must be detail-oriented and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills required


Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a call center environment

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor duties

  • Occasional exposure to noisy and/or inclement weather

  • Requires standing or walking for extended periods


Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $17.00 – $18.00 (Based on Experience)

  • Bonus: Monthly performance-based bonus (after 90 days)


Schedule:

  • Full-Time

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8-hour day shifts

  • Occasional weekend availability during peak periods

  • On-site in Arlington, TX (must reliably commute or plan to relocate)
