GPS Installer - Arlington Truck Center 

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • This position is responsible for driving the growth of the business by improving the
    operational efficiency and consistency of the vehicle reconditioning process through GPS
    System Installations.
  • To accomplish this the GPS Installer must assist in creating a world
    class culture and a system of engagement, continuous learning, and development with all
    team members to include vendor stakeholders in the entire location reconditioning operation
    and asset control. 
  • The GPS Installer will be responsible for Installing Equipment Monitoring devices in automobiles for
    our various car dealership and customers.
  • Managing all on-site installation, repair, and service tasks for GPS tracking devices in
    addition to diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
  • Investigating complaints; conducting Quality audits and tests; and resolving problems
  • Following all manufacturer partners’ procedures and protocols
  • Documenting and Testing service and installation actions through mobile forms, reports,
    logs, and records
  • Read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records.
  • Complete MEI AUTO provided training in all areas of the production process.
  • Multi-task in a high energy, fast-paced work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Speak, listen, and write effectively in dealing with customers and associates across
    departments.
  • Adheres to all MEI AUTO Policies, including but not limited to, Asset Protection, and
    Standards of Professional Appearance.

Qualifications:

  • Previous technical experience is preferred and/or understanding of automotive
    wiring/mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Previous GPS, radio, accessory experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and have excellent time management & organizational
    skills.
  • Must possess own basic mechanic hand tools, 1/4, 3/8, socket set, various wrenches,
    rechargeable tools, etc.
  • Must possess a valid driver license that meets the MEI AUTO Driver Safety criteria, as
    explained in the MEI AUTO Driver Safety Policy. 
  • Required special equipment will be provided.

Salary: Up to $20.00 Commission per installed unit (High volume of cars with much earning potential)

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday - Friday (40hours per week).

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience and commensurate with Fortune 500 companies.
