MEI is looking for a Midrange Collector to join our dynamic team! As a Collections Representative, you’ll play a key role in helping our customers get back on track while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding customer service with a focus on first-contact resolution
Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
Build and maintain positive customer relationships with a solution-oriented approach
Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve past-due loan accounts
Utilize effective questioning techniques and maintain accurate documentation
Review and update customer demographics and account information
Achieve and exceed collection goals including delinquency reduction and cash collections
Perform basic skip tracing to locate customers
Comply with all company, state, and federal guidelines including FDCPA
Assist with additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in midrange collections (Required)
Strong working knowledge of FDCPA and other relevant regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
Proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $18-19 (based on experience)
Bonus: Eligible for weekly bonus incentives
