With 9 “Buy Here Pay Here” Dealerships across the DFW Metroplex, we continue to grow, and business has never been better! We are currently hiring Automotive Buyers to supply inventory for our Dealerships. If you’re a self-
sufficient, independent, used car buyer this may be the position for you.

This position requires working well in a fast-paced environment and being an effective communicator and negotiator.

Responsibilities:

• Buy cars from the auctions as needed and instructed by the Inventory Manager.
• Ability to search for vehicles online that meets Automax criteria prior to the auction.
• Determine valuation.
• Analyze auction condition reports.
• Review vehicle history reports.
• Physically inspect vehicles to estimate the repair cost to make retail ready.
• Check all major vehicle components, including but not limited to:
  ▪ Engine
  ▪ Transmission
  ▪ HVAC
  ▪ Windows
  ▪ Lights
  ▪ Shocks Etc...
• Use company supplied OBD scanner to determine if trouble codes exist. Test drive vehicles, if allowed.
• Responsible for arranging shipping for the timely delivery of vehicles purchased.
• Responsible for timely arbitrating vehicles with auctions.
• Responsible handling of arbitration units until the company is reimbursed.
• Email approved and signed bill of sale for each car to the corporate office’s designated
  individual within 24 hours of purchase.
• Handling all IF bids, PSIs and arbitrations with auctions.
• Wholesale any vehicle purchased that is determined to not meet the Automax standard.
• Compliance with Automax buying procedures and strictly buy as instructed and do not buy from any source unless approved by Automax.

Qualifications:

• Require 3+ years of automotive buy online and/or in-lane experience.
• Experience as an automotive buyer is required.
• Excellent analytical and valuation skills
• Management or prior purchasing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and follow-through skills.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment with a high level of self-motivation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Proficiency in using auction websites/apps and Stockwave (VAuto) preferred.
• Clean motor vehicle and criminal background records.
• Valid Driver’s License.
